An Exclusive Webinar with Prof. Jean-Marc Retrouvey
This webinar gives you evidence-based insight into a next-generation aligner material — helping you evaluate when and how to adopt it to improve predictability, efficiency and patient outcomes.
The Problem
Modern clear-aligner therapy still faces predictable clinical limitations: unpredictable force decay, drift in aligner form after hours/days of wear, and difficulty delivering precise directional forces for complex movements without excessive refinements or auxiliaries. These material-driven constraints force clinicians to compromise on staging, over-use attachments, or add chairside corrections — all of which increase treatment time and reduce predictability.
The Solution
A newly published APOS study evaluates ActiveMemory™ photo-curable resins used for LuxCreo direct-printed 4D Aligner™. The data demonstrate high thermal stability, robust shape-memory behaviour after thermal reactivation, and sustained force delivery at intra-oral temperatures. In short: a material that can recover elastic strength and dimensional form through controlled reactivation — enabling repeatable, directional forces that broaden what’s possible with aligner mechanics and reduce reliance on workarounds.
